Modern Icons Launch

We welcomed in the start of 2017 with a stellar line up of women as part of our Modern Icons project. For the project we commissioned illustrator Lauren Tamaki to create portraits of twelve brilliant women including Bjork, the Broad City girls, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Joan Didion, Laverne Cox, Malala Yousafzai, Michelle Obama, Rei Kawakubo, Serena Williams, Shami Chakrabarti, Tilda Swinton and Yayoi Kusama.
Throughout January and February the Modern Icons graced the front of the Ace Hotel, London in their window box gallery. Each of the women selected have pushed boundaries or challenged expectations in their lives and careers.
To celebrate the launch we hosted a party where we also held a raffle to raise money for the UN Syrian Refugee Fund with prizes donated from WAH, Mast Brothers, Fourth Estates, Ace Hotel and Aesop.
